MacroDroid is an easy way to automate tasks on your Android smartphone or tablet. With a straightforward user interface MacroDroid makes it possible to create fully automated tasks in just a few taps.
Some examples of how MacroDroid can help you automate
- Improve your daily workflow on your mobile; Turn on Bluetooth and start playing music when you get into your car. Or turn on WiFi when you’re near your home.
- Reducing battery drain (like dimming your screen and turning off Wi-Fi)
- Save on Roaming Costs (Automatically turn off your data)
- Increasing security while traveling by reading your incoming notifications (via text-to-speech) and sending automated responses via email or SMS
- Create custom sound and notification profiles.
- Remind yourself to complete certain tasks using timers and stopwatches.
These are just a few examples of the unlimited scenarios that MacroDroid makes your Android life a little easier. Here’s how it works, with 3 simple steps:
Select a trigger.
A trigger is the cue to start a macro. MacroDroid offers more than 70 triggers to start your macro, such as location-based triggers (GPS, cell towers, etc.), device status triggers (battery level, app launch/close, etc.), sensor triggers (shake, light conditions, etc.) and Connection triggers (like Bluetooth, Wifi and notifications).
You can create a shortcut on your device’s home screen or launch it using a private and customizable MacroDroid sidebar.
Select the actions you want to automate.
MacroDroid can perform over 100 different actions that you would normally do by hand. Connect to your Bluetooth or Wi-Fi device, select the volume level, speak text (like your incoming notifications or the current time), start a timer, dim your screen, launch the Tasker plugin, and more.
Optional: Configure controls.
The controls allow you to allow macro fire only when you want it.
Live near your work, but only need to connect to your company’s Wi-Fi during work days? With a constraint you can select specific times or days when the macro can be executed. MacroDroid offers more than 50 block types.
MacroDroid is compatible with Tasker and Locale plugins, expanding the range of possibilities.
